The Home for the World’s Best Plant Genetics
Eden Holdings acquires, partners with, and grows proprietary breeding programs across specialty horticulture and agriculture. Great varieties are the product of decades of patience, skill, and vision. We exist to make sure that work is preserved, protected, and commercialized for generations to come.
What We Do
Acquire: We acquire proprietary breeding programs, variety IP, and licensing operations from family owned nurseries, independent breeders, and integrated grower shippers looking for a long term partner.
Protect: We invest in global IP enforcement, patent management, and legal infrastructure so breeders can focus on what they do best. Creating the next great variety.
Grow: We bring capital, technology, and global commercialization reach to accelerate breeding pipelines and expand licensing into new markets and geographies.
Why Eden
Built by someone who chose this industry
Addison King came to the plant genetics business through family and spent the last decade immersed in it. As CFO of Sod Solutions, a leading turfgrass variety licensing company, he managed global royalty programs, navigated IP enforcement across dozens of markets, and worked directly with breeders and growers.
He knows what it means to develop a variety over 10 or 15 years and then fight to protect it in markets around the world. He knows what it's like to run a family genetics business where the IP is the most valuable asset but rarely gets valued that way by the outside world. And he knows that the best breeding programs deserve a long term partner, not a short term buyer.
That's why he built Eden.
Our Focus
Specialty horticulture and agriculture. Proprietary genetics. Global scale.
We focus on proprietary plant genetics across the full spectrum of specialty horticulture and agriculture. Fruit trees, table grapes, berries, nuts, citrus, avocados, kiwifruit, cacao, coffee, and more. If it's a high value crop with proprietary variety development, we want to be in the conversation.
We are not interested in ornamentals. We are not interested in commodity row crops. We are focused on the categories where superior genetics command premium value and where breeders are the driving force behind what ends up on the shelf.
