What to Expect

How we Work

Every conversation starts the same way. With listening. We want to understand your business, your breeding program, your goals, and what matters most to you. There's no pressure and no timeline. Some of the best partnerships take months or years to develop.

If there's a fit, we'll work together to structure something that makes sense for both sides. That might be a full acquisition. It might be a partnership. It might be something we haven't thought of yet. The point is to find an arrangement that preserves what you've built while giving it the resources to grow.

Frequently Asked Question

Q: Do you only do full acquisitions? A: No. We're open to a range of structures. Full acquisitions, majority or minority partnerships, management agreements, and creative arrangements that fit your situation. The right structure depends entirely on what you're looking for.

Q: What happens to my breeding team after a transaction? A: They stay. The breeders are the business. We're not in the business of firing the people who create the value. Our goal is to give your team more resources, not fewer.

Q: Do I have to be ready to sell right now? A: Absolutely not. Many of our best relationships started as introductory conversations years before any transaction took place. We're happy to get to know you and your business on whatever timeline makes sense.

Q: What crops are you focused on? A: Specialty horticulture and agriculture broadly. That includes fruit trees, berries, table grapes, nuts, citrus, tropical fruit, and more. If there's proprietary genetics and variety development involved, we want to be in the conversation. We do not invest in ornamentals or row crops.

Q: Where are you based? A: Charleston, South Carolina. But the genetics industry is global, and so is our focus. We're interested in opportunities wherever proprietary plant genetics are being developed and commercialized.
